A number of years ago, I came to the realization that travel is a lifestyle. It is as much a part of my life as my family and my career. This discovery occurred around the same time I developed my idea for this blog and what it stands for. For those who haven’t been around since the beginning, I started this blog, The Working Mom’s Travels, shortly after my daughter was born. She’s now 11 and my oldest child; I also have a 6-year-old son. I have always been a travel enthusiast and those close to me (and even some who weren’t) knew it. In my 20s, I spent an undergrad semester abroad in Australia and, after college, I lived and worked in Yellowstone National Park. Fast forward to some years later when I was married and about to become a mother for the first time.
