Britican Is Sailing Again!
After five months of lockdown in Grenada due to Covid restrictions we’ve finally been able to start sailing again. Britican is sailing again and it feels AMAZING.
When we first headed out of the marina and turned straight into the Atlantic Ocean both my husband, Simon, and I wondered if we would remember how to sail. We motored for an hour to get in position for the right wind angle, I raised our main and Simon unfurled the Genoa.
We then turned off the engine and felt absolute BLISS. Join us on our first post-Covid lockdown sail. We leave the beautiful Le Phare Bleu Marina, head east out into the Atlantic Ocean and then north to Sandy Island in Carriacou (part of Grenada). Our buddy boat, however, takes on water so we divert to Ronde Island instead. Watch the video to see, feel and experience life as a live aboard sailor.
