#vanlife #fulltimevanlife #sunsetcliffs A day in a life of living out of a minivan camper. Today I woke up to overcast skies and cool temperatures. But that’s ok because I got to sleep half a block from the ocean in the San Diego town of Sunset Cliffs. I’ve never been drawn to the idea of living in San Diego. But I’ve been “living” here for over a month now. I got up early to find a corner parking spot at the edge of a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. And as luck would have it, I got the spot I was hoping for. This public parking spot juts out into the ocean. This means you can park with three sides surrounded by water. I spent the day staring out at the cliffs, sea caves and crashing surf. I still can’t get over the color of the water here. Pulled out my AeroPress to make a quick cup of coffee. Lunch was a vegetarian noodle dish made with a few fresh veggies and seasoned with some soy sauce. And I made taquitos for the first time in several years. All in all, a beautiful, peaceful day. After a day like today, living in San Diego makes a lot more sense. Want to help me out? Even though I didn’t know much about RV’s and campervans, I set about building the van out as a minivan camper. And in April of 2016, I moved into my minivan full time. Over the years, I’ve learned you don’t need to have a big skill set to build your own campervan. And that living as a minimalist and utilizing solar power can be a less expensive way to live. I’ve also learned that a minivan can be a very comfortable home. Please follow along as I document my journey. My Channel Stickers are now available for purchase through PayPal.
