#debuyer #carbonsteel #debuyercarboneplus After a great deal of consideration, I have decide to get rid of any non-stick or Teflon pans that I own. There are numerous health and safety concerns regarding non stick cookware. And also, I believe most non stick cookware doesn’t last long, no matter how well it is cared for. I’d like to get away from the cycle of buying and replacing worn out non-stick pans. After carefully considering all the options, I purchased a Carbon Steel Pan. The pan I bought is a 24 cm de BUYER Carbone Steel Plus Frypan. Carbon Steel cookware are very similar to cast iron cookware in that they all need their cooking surface seasoned before being ready for use. I used the stove top method to season my new frypan, mostly because I don’t own an oven. I used Sunflower Oil to season my pan. And then I fried a couple of eggs in the pan to test the seasoning job. So far I am happy with my choice of this carbon steel pan. One thing is certain, my cooking skills need to improve a little in order to have continued success with this pan. Even though I didn’t know much about RV’s and campervans, I set about building the van out as a minivan camper. And in April of 2016, I moved into my minivan full time. Over the years, I’ve learned you don’t need to have a big skill set to build your own campervan. And that living as a minimalist and utilizing solar power can be a less expensive way to live. I’ve also learned that a minivan can be a very comfortable home. Please follow along as I document my journey. My Channel Stickers are now available for purchase through PayPal.
