The perfect jumping-off point for an outdoor experience is Curt Gowdy State Park. Located just 25 minutes west of downtown, and named after the famed sports broadcaster and Wyoming native, this natural gem is nestled in the pine-covered foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Three snowmelt fed, crystal clear reservoirs stocked with trout and salmon are at the center of the park and offer plenty of room for stand-up paddleboarding, boating and camping on the shoreline.
